The Nordic PhD Program in Management Accounting

The Nordic PhD Program in Management Accounting is a Nordic collaboration for research studies in management accounting. The cooperation started in 2001 at the initiative of the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg and the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), Bergen, Norway. In 2007 the School of Business and Social Sciences at Aarhus University, Aarhus, Denmark, became part of the group. The Stockholm School of Economics and the Swedish Business School at Örebro University joined the cooperation in 2010. In 2019 the Copenhagen Business School and the Nord University joined the cooperation.

The collaboration consists mainly of joint research courses. Today six courses are offered, supplemented with courses given by invited researchers from other universities. The courses are open to research students from around the world. Through the spring of 2019 about 250 students have participated coming from more than 45 universities/colleges in about 10 countries. The collaboration also includes supervision of research students in addition to course work.
