About Ramsin Yakob

Ramsin Yakob (Ph.D.) is an Assistant professor and senior lecturer. His research is carried out at the Centre for International Business Studies. He conducts research in the field of International HRM, knowledge transfer, and innovation and R&D. He has recently conducted a five-year study of Volvo Car Corporation, investigating their China establishment, Volvo-Geely relation, and innovation upgrading. Currently, he is engaged in a project that aims to investigate the strategic renewal capacity of foreign and Swedish owned firms operating on the Swedish market.

He is the current Program Director for the MSc in International Business & Trade at the School of Business, Economics & Law, at Gothenburg University. Ramsin has also been the Deputy Director for Business Design Lab (BDL). BDL was a research center for interdisciplinary cooperation between the School of Business and the Academy of Design and Crafts. In this role, Ramsin worked to develop BDL and supports the participation of researchers from the business school in BDLs activities. 

Ramsin's work has been published in Journal of International Management; Technovation; International Journal of Technology Intelligence and Planning; Int. J. Automotive Technology and Management; and “Platforms, Markets and Innovation”, 2011 (Ed. Gawer), Edward Elgar Publishing.

Ramsin teaches in a wide range of courses; including Strategy, Cross-cultural Management, HRM, as well as supervises theses at postgraduate and graduate level.
