About Johan Hagberg

Johan Hagberg, PhD, is Associate Professor in Marketing at the School of Business, Economics and Law, University of Gothenburg. He received his doctorate in 2008 with a thesis on retail change, Flytande identitet. NetOnNet och e-handelns återkomst, where he studied the emergence of e-commerce in Swedish retailing. He teaches and supervises in marketing at bachelor-, master- and doctoral level. From 2011 to 2015 he was director of the  Centre for Retailing at the University of Gothenburg. His current research investigates consumer logistics and the digitalization of retailing and consumption. His publications include articles in Industrial Marketing Management, Journal of Marketing Management, Urban Studies, Marketing Theory, Journal of Historical Research in Marketing, Consumption Markets & Culture, International Journal of Retail & Distribution Management, and Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services.
